Of the three concepts unveiled on the Chrysler stand the one most likely to see a production line is the Jeep Renegade. Whether it does so with its current tree hugger-pleasing power source is unlikely, but stranger things have happened. Outdoor enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that Jeep has plumped for a hybrid diesel electric engine in the Renegade.

The Toyota Prius 3 and Honda Insight are among seven new cars to achieve five-star safety ratings in the latest Euro NCAP crash tests out today. Dr Michiel van Ratingen, Euro NCAP’s secretary general said: ‘The technology andknow-how is out there for car makers to deliver vehicles with better pedestrianprotection. Honda and Toyota are giving us a glimpse of the cars of the future thatconsider the natural and social environment in its entirety.’
A Toyota official said hybrids posed new problems for its engineers.
Bentley's collaboration with timepiece creator Breitling is a well-established one, which stretches back years. The latest coming together between the luxury brands is in commemoration of Juha Kankkunen's world-record-breaking jaunt on the frozen Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland. Earlier this year, four-time World Rally Champion Kankkunen piloted the biofueled Supersports convertible to a – frankly incredible – top speed of 205.48mph off the coast of Finland.
